Regulation (EC) N°1907/2006 on the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) was published in the Official Journal of the European Union on December 30th 2006. It entered into force on June 1st 2007. The REACH Regulation strengthens the responsibility of industry to provide safety information on substances and to properly manage the risks arising from their use.

It is essential for Manufacturer to register the substances it require – to confirm that these substances  will be. covered by a registration. It is also essential for manufacturers/importers to be informed about downstream applications as well as use and exposure information for the respective substances in order to be able to generate the required chemical safety report covering the identified uses.

SBS Plan for REACH Compliance:

  • Collect REACH SVHC statements.
  • Obtain REACH SVHC lists compliance certificates
  • Continue its research to get more information.
  • Provide manufacturers’ certificate documents.
  • Mark component with REACH SVHC compliance status.
  • Provide reports.
